The gorgeous Deepika wore bikinis and rode water scooter in Houseful her last film. But she has shifted her gears and she is going in opposite direction. This stunningly beautiful actress is all set to play a Bengali freedom fighter in her upcoming film. “Deepika turns to saree” is what making news now days. Deepika has turned around her image as a sexy and bold actress for director Ashutosh Gowarikar’s new project Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se which is based on life of a Bengali freedom fighter Kalpana Dutta who was from Chittagong. Deepika will be seen in an era of around 1930’s. Deepika is very much excited for performing this role as she says, “Kalpana Dutta was among the first women freedom fighters of India. She was strong, feisty and a total revolutionary patriot”. Also “Saree makes a lady look more sexy” are the words of Deepika in a latest interview! We think this is the reason why Deepika turns to saree. Well it looks like she is already enjoying this bicycle ride!

The film is jointly produced by Sunita A Gowariker along with Ajay and Sanjeev Bijli. The film will be based on “DO and Die” the book written by Manini Chatterji, Kalpana Dutta’s daughter in law. This would be an epic freedom fighting period thriller. The film will be presented by PVR and AGPPL pictures. Acting opposite Deepika will be Chote B Abhishek Bachchan.

Director Ashutosh Gowarikar said that the reason behind casting Deepika is that she will bring much energy to the character of Kalpana Dutta. The music composer of the movie is Sohail Sen and the beautiful lyrics of the legendary lyricists of Javed Akhtar will add up to the beauty of the movie. Leading fashion designer Neeta Lulla has designed the costumes.

The film is being shot in Goa as well as Mumbai. Also the temporary release date of movie has been also scheduled as December 3. So guys if you see Deepika pedaling cycle in Mumbai when dressed up in Bengali cotton saree don’t get surprised!

Heroine is going to be Kareena’s best film so far: Madhur

He is famous for giving glam dolls of Bollywood a milestone in their career. After giving Priyanka Chopra Fashion and Bipasha Basu Corporate, this National Award winning filmmaker, Madhur Bhandarkar, claims that his new movie will lead Kareena to best film in her career. “Kareena has been wanting to work with me for quite a long time. But due to some reasone we had not been able to team up. She blindly trusts me and my talent and the feeling is mutual,” said Madhur Bhandarkar.

The film will hit the floors in December, and is already making buzz that Madhur is planning to give Kareena a new look. He wants to give Kareena iconic looks of all the Hollywood legendary actresses like Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Vivien Leigh and Eva Gardner. “This is going to be Kareena’s best performance of her life. I can guarantee that. She is a talented artist and she will be in her full bloom in this one,” added Madhur.

This 41 year old director completed his degree in film-making, when he was a video delivery boy. He always wanted to cover women issues and that has been his trademark in the industry. “People in industry are afraid to raise these issues. They think that it would not generate any interest in the audience. But, I am here to prove this notion wrong. All my films have had strong women characters and they have been liked by people,” said Bhandarkar. Talking about his strong female characters, Madhur says that all his heroines have thanked me for their roles. “Every time I meet Konkona she mentions how peope recognize her as Page 3 actress. Same is the case with Bipasha and Priyanka. It is nice to hear such things. I am equally proud to have worked with these actresses,” said Madhur.

However, before he starts shooting for another women centric movie, he is excited about his debut comedy movie Dil To Bacha Hai Ji, which is inspired by Gulzar’s lyrics in the film Ishqiya. He is working with an unusual star cast; Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi and Omi Vaidya. Madhur said that this movie will be a tribute to the famous comedian Hrishikesh Mukherjee and ensures that the audience will be surprised. He said, “Ajay is playing a husband, having constant nok jhok with his wife, Emraan plays a carefree Casanova while Omi’s character is a surprise.” The filmmaker is still looking for heroines for this movie. The audience will now get a taste of Madhur Bhandarkar’s comedy this December.

Is it possible for a beauty pageant to be too sexy?

That's the question directed at Miss Universe these days, as the organization has posed most of its 2010 contestants in almost nothing but body paint for a new set of promotional images.

Some think these photos go too far.

"It's alarming that this has been turned into a Playboy-esque masquerade," Angie Meyer, a former pageant employee, told Fox News. "By implementing topless photos as part of the pageant process, they're putting applicants in an extremely compromising position."

As opposed to the bathing suit and evening gown segments of the event, which place contestants in uncompromising positions and are not based on appearances?

Responded Lark-Marie Anton, vice president of marketing and public relations for the organization, to the charges of inappropriateness:

"The contestants who compete at Miss Universe are diverse, as they represent more than 82 countries around the globe. Many of their cultures embrace nudity... We feel the images captured are fashionable and cutting edge!"

Rachel Uchitel: Doing Jeremy London?

If you're married and a celebrity, Rachel Uchitel is available.

That much is true regardless of this story, which is based largely on hearsay, but come on. Would anyone put it past her to bone Jeremy London in Celebrity Rehab?

London's estranged wife Melissa says the Mallrats and Party of Five star is involved in a romantic relationship with the VIP Nightclub Hostess / professional mistress.

While he stopped short of denying a romance, London told Radar Online he had a strong relationship with Rachel Uchitel, an “amazing, intelligent, sensitive person.”

“I’m very protective of Rachel because of our friendship,” Jeremy London said.

“She’s been wrongfully persecuted by the media and because of what the media has done to me after I was nearly murdered, I relate to her.”

Jeremy and Melissa, who wed in 2006, have had a rocky relationship that escalated after he was recently kidnapped, robbed and forced to smoke drugs during an ordeal in Palm Springs. The pair recently entered rehab together.

London then joined the crew of Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab 4, while Melissa checked into Pasadena Recovery Center, to be treated for a prescription drug addiction.

Since completing treatment, however, the pair has separated but remain legally married to this day - a prerequisite for any sexual relationship with Rachel Uchitel.

Just the same, London recently denied it's anything physical.

“Rachel and I are good friends PERIOD,” London said of his wife's accusations. “Melissa is ridiculous... she has no idea what she’s talking about and is like a child."

Uchitel, whose affairs with Tiger Woods and David Boreanaz made her a household name and very, very rich, just checked into a sober living facility in Malibu, Calif. ... supposedly to stay close to London and other Rehab cast members.

A Royal Rumor: Prince William and Kate Middleton Wedding Scheduled for August 2011

Stop us if you've heard this before: Prince William and Kate Middleton are engaged and planning an enormous wedding.

The likely nuptials between this royal couple are a popular tabloid topic both overseas and domestically. Sources speculate that over $20 billion will be at stake when vows are eventually exchanged.

Now, The Daily Mail claims to know when the ceremony will take place: on the second weekend of August 2011, as insiders report senior personnel at Westminster Abbey have been alerted to keep that date open for a major event there.

This iconic building was the venue for Princess Diana's funeral service 13 years ago. Said an anonymous source who works at Westminster Abbey:

"A date has been earmarked for a royal wedding next year... only the most senior personnel here have been privy to the discussions, but my understanding is that the issue was raised when the Queen visited here back in May."

William is scheduled to begin work as a search and rescue pilot late next month.

"To be honest, next summer would be perfect," says a friend. "It's pretty much impossible for them to marry in 2012 due to the Jubilee and the London Olympics, which means that unless they take the plunge next year Kate would have to wait until 2013 to walk down the aisle. She has been very patient so far, but I think that is asking rather too much."

Let's just hope the Prince can keep his lips to himself in the meantime.
